Proposed Western Coatings Technology Center to be located in the new College of Science and Mathematics building
Cal Poly is poised to take its partnership with the polymers and coatings industry to new levels. The Western Coatings Technology Center will expand efforts in industry-sponsored research. You can support the renowned hands-on, "learn by doing" educational mission of Cal Poly and the Western Coatings Technology Center. By helping to build facilities for some of the brightest students in the United States at one of the nation's most selective public universities, you will provide a place for creative students to learn and do important, real-world research with their faculty and industry mentors.The opportunity exists to build a permanent home for the Western Coatings Technology Center in Cal Poly's new Center for Science and Mathematics. Here is what we plan:
- Polymer Synthesis Laboratory
- Coatings Formulation Facilities
- Instrumental Analysis Center
- Project Research Laboratories
- Offices and Meeting Facilities
